Landmark Design is a small, award-winning landscape architecture and planning firm located in Salt Lake City, Utah. Founded in 1987, we are a forward-thinking design and planning firm looking for a candidate committed to the practice of Landscape Architecture but willing to explore the edges of the profession. We are first and foremost a landscape architecture firm, with a diverse resume in landscape architecture, urban design, community planning and public involvement.

You will collaborate with our experienced staff to create vibrant parks, plazas and streetscapes, and assist with planning and designing communities and regions. You will be involved from conceptual design through construction, providing planning ideas and design drawings, preparing construction documents and participating in community workshops and client coordination meetings.

 

Skills Required:               

We seek candidates with strong design and communication skills, an ability to work in collaborative team settings, and familiarity with Great Basin and Rocky Mountain settings. Candidates must demonstrate a solid understanding of landscape architecture - from planning and conceptual design through construction document preparation. Interest and skills in community planning and urban design is a definite benefit, with demonstrable technical skills in the following:

  • AutoCAD and LandFX
  • ArcMap GIS
  • Hand graphics
  • SketchUp and 3D modeling
  • Microsoft Office Suite
  • Adobe Suite (Photoshop, InDesign, Illustrator)
  • Construction documents
  • Writing and organization

 

Compensation:

Based on experience and qualifications. Education Requirements:           

Candidates with one to three years of experience are preferred. You must have a degree in Landscape Architecture (BLA or MLA) from an accredited institution, although licensure is not required.
